I spent 40 years campaigning for supporters' rights, was a founder member of the FSA and wrote extensively about the tensions between 'proper' fans, hooligans & police. I crossed swords with clubs & politicians. I never thought a top Tory would publicly support the boot boys as 'good natured fun'.

I am often confused when people talk about British values as it smacks of arrogance…our values are better than yours, or we are just better than you.
So, Peter, I think does a good job with his assessment of so called British values and Starmers actions sometimes/often being the opposite.
