Hat is finished! Noro Kureyon yarn 040 Ukiha, a variegated self-striping worsted weight wool yarn. $15/skein, used about $20 worth. For my skill level, this hat would be priced at $150.

This is a hat I knit last year. Ribs, cables, and lace. I started making hats in early adulthood because I have a big head and also had big hair. Standard hats in clothing stores never fit me.

Judge Arun Subramanian said he has considered the fact the Sean Combs is a "self-made artist" who has inspired and lifted up communities. He noted his philanthropic work, his devotion to his family and his work battling drug addiction. "However, the court has to consider all of your history here," the judge said. Judge Arun Subramanian said "a history of good works can't wash away the record in this case, which shows that you abused the power and control over the lives of women who you professed to love."

He would focus on his family, undergo counseling and speak to others about the realities of being incarcerated, the lawyer said, arguing that Mr. Combs needs to be repaired rather than "warehoused." So far, the defense has focused on Sean Combs as someone who is remorseful and has been transformed by living in a federal jail for more than a year. Now Brian Steel, one of his lawyers, is returning to the defense's main argument at trial: that freak-offs were voluntary sexual encounters between consenting adults. The jury did not find that those encounters were coerced, and Mr. Steel said that "society's better off if the verdict is recognized"

But after extensive, intimate time within these programs – and having the unique perspective of growing up in an actual, undeniable cult – I've come to a stark, chilling, and deeply unsettling realization: The core tenets of NA are not just flawed; they are, in my considered experience, psychologically detrimental and dangerously manipulative. Let's be brutally honest about what happens: These programs are designed with a calculated precision to systematically break you down as an individual. They demand the surrender of your personal will, your independent thought, and your very sense of self. You are stripped of your past identity, your coping mechanisms, and your personal truths, only to be raised back up in the rigid, dogmatic views of the program. This isn't healing; it's a classic, textbook sign of a cult and coercive control. The most insidious lie at the heart of this system is the mantra that you are an "addict" for the rest of your life, that you are "never recovered." Think about the sheer, illogical cruelty of that: Why would anyone dedicate their existence to working towards a goal they are explicitly told they can never attain? This philosophy doesn't foster genuine recovery; it perpetuates a state of eternal sickness. It traps individuals in a perpetual identity of illness, ensuring they remain dependent on the program's perceived "cure." From my perspective as a survivor who knows the fabric of actual cults, this isn't accidental. This philosophy serves a chilling purpose: it keeps people sick, on purpose, so they stay in the cult. It's a deliberate strategy to maintain perpetual dependence, ensuring a constant stream of members for meetings, for "service" work, for sponsorship, and for the financial support of the program's literature and infrastructure. This is a complete lie. I did not request a driver to get a ride from them outside of the Lyft platform, and I did not offer to pay cash for anything.

This is either retaliation from the company themselves, or the driver.
