The Vancouver Whitecaps were in the MLS cup final and there was barely any media coverage in the Canadian outlets I regularly read (Globe and Mail plus CBC). Compare that to the wall to wall coverage of the Blue Jays in the World Series.

Canada still has issues with some provinces being over represented in the House of Commons

Sounds like sciencing to me

Here in Canada it is unclear whether a caucus can force a leader out - the party's rules do not seem to allow it requiring a creative interpretation of what incapacitated means by the party's executive in an attempt to remove Rustad - but it is hard to see how he can continue as leader

Merging the more centralist Liberals (who had undergone an ill-advised name change) into the more extreme Conservatives was done quickly and not done well. Rustad, who had been a Liberal but had crossed the floor to be the Conservatives only MLA lacked the skills to keep the party together

The BC Conservative Party was a fringe right wing party until the implosion of the BC Liberal Party - the dominant right wing party in BC since the mid 1990s, (neither of these provincial parties have close ties to the federal parties of the same names) shortly before the last election.

Unlike then in Australia no one is surprised that Rustad is being forced out - the party has been acrimonious since the last election. Several MLAs have been kicked out or left the caucus in recent months.

Such spills are relatively common in Australian politics but are rare in Canada. A few months after I moved to Australia in 2010, we all woke up one day to learn the then prime minister Kevin Rudd was out after the parliamentary Labor Party ditched him overnight in favour of Julia Gillard.

After looking at a bunch of transit logos for Canadian cities I think it is safe to say Toronto has the most dated looking one.

Ranking Canadian transit agency logos does seem like a Justin McElroy bit.

I do not think the location is well thought out. Given how busy Douglas is, you are rarely going to get that view - most of the time it is going to be blocked by a bus
