Nerd. Wine adviser. Data slinger and database evangelist. Linguistics, by letters. Used to host radio shows. ADS-B reporter. Grape smusher on occasion. Weekend beer league hockey. Cars going round! Maniac driving a Saab! Transit dork. How you get ants.
It has been forever and a day since I’ve done one of these silly tournaments. But our rink needs the funds for floor maintenance so it is fundraiser hockey night, and tomorrow, hockey fundraiser day in Oakland. I’m so excited! Bringing some vintage sweater action.

Without knowing anything about the reference “this” is making, I’m still inclined to just sort of point to the history of vile shit men have done and say “a lot of those things”.

We are looking at Thanksgiving perfection. This is just grand.

“Purdue’s Search for Earhart’s Plane On Hold”

In like the most Hoosier thing ever, they’ve decided, “Well what’s the rush? She’s still gonna be dead when we get there.”

For some reason, this little guy perches outside our window each morning at a very early hour, screaming “Why won’t you install Adelita Grijalva, you miserable little worm?”

It’s fucking always US-East-1.

Visits to the dentist are going to look a *little bit different* under this Republican plan.

I dub thee "Tightwad Hillquake”.

It’s probably all the new Nobels weighing that side of campus down, honestly.

More accurately read: “You have travel funds that don’t fall under our new expiration policy to use!”

I've been having a hoot settling into running self-hosted services (transmission, changedetection.io, pihole, mysql, postgres, metabase, plex) and my left hockey glove has fallen apart -- but I've patched it up with hand-stitches denim!

I’m guessing this was something gained through osmosis; my family being largely from Indiana, I’ve definitely looked at the map and thought “That’s weird that there’s some lake effect spillover in the northwest, but just to the south, it drops into colder zones, sometimes even in isolated spots.”

By all indications, Mitch Hedberg wrote this gardening booklet.

“Perfect for your hard-to-reach plants! Who the fuck would make their plants hard to reach? That seems so very mean?!”

Also yeah that is not NAS Lemoore.

Cool! Except none of the things you highlighted here are counties. Fort Wayne is a city. It’s in Allen County.

What is Apple doing?

It’s transparent on the left, blacked to the middle, opaque and white in the right — and I’ve set the damn thing to be “let’s work in dark mode”.

What are they doing?? This is nuts.

What the actual fuck is this?

I’m not gonna make a business case here for cable news but Galloway probably isn’t stupid enough to believe that n-many downloads of a podcast equal n-many impressions.

Podcasts download automatically, frequently never to be heard. Viewership and playback on cable and DVR is a bit more accurate.

I quite enjoyed this explainer on the current track layout at Monza.

Well, I mean at this point why not just buy up Avelo and be done with it? Or Spirit; I suspect they might be available for cheap.

The “Related Selections” for Bruce Vilanch’s execllently titled “It Seemed Like A Bad Idea At The Time” are… huh.

Living good in the neighborhood.

I’ll never forget the woman serving food at the Purdue Memorial Union who really got into it with this vegetarian person in front of me in line: “That’s calamari! That’s not meat, that’s seafood!”
