If you or I put a private sewer discharging waste into one of our rivers or lakes, there'd be total *hell* to pay.

But a whole industry doesn't just get away with constantly polluting, the government makes a priority of fighting for their right to continue.

The result is our rivers are dying.

Extremely worrying that the Advisory Ctee for National Nature Restoration Plan is not seeing any commitment from govt to fund the implementation of the Plan. The 3.14bn climate & nature fund was the biggest hope for funding it but govt said no. Absolute disgrace. www.irishtimes.com/environment/...

Disabled people were intentionally made €1400 poorer by this government's budget.

Don't be fooled by Simon Harris' spin about money being "put back into people's pockets" - people can feel the missing money every time they get groceries and pay rent!

A badger in the rainforest at night, captured in this image by Ross Bartley.

7,319 of these amazing, gorgeous native animals were culled by the Irish state last year alone, and 66,000 since 2014, in a pointless, cruel attempt to eliminate bovine TB, despite a promise to switch to vaccinations.

Please follow rural Ireland against fox hunting
We are people from all walks of life who live and work in rural Ireland. We strongly support a ban on fox hunting, and we know we represent the vast majority of everyone in our communities.
We are asking all Irish TDs to support the proposed ban fox hunting on December 17th 2025.

New DART and Luas lines, which ALREADY HAVE planning permission, are being delayed 4-5 years. This is a direct consequence of the Government’s decision to spend less on public transport.
DART+ South West is shelved until 2030. It has full planning approval since 2024, no judicial reviews and is ready to go but construction won't start until after 2030. A lot of housing around Adamstown and Clonburris built in anticipation of this upgrade.

That's three times more money than the core funding for all our sports!

€20 million is going to the cruel greyhound racing industry.

Shameful.

Four months after it was promised, we finally have the government's transport investment plan between now and 2030. It's bad. Roads are in, public transport is out. A lot of public transport projects being put on the long-finger to make funding available for new roads.

This is an absolute disaster. Taking away money from ready-to-go public transport projects so that they can chuck more cash at new roads.

The exact opposite direction we should be going.

(Plus: the more you delay projects, the more they cost. Every time.)
