i wanted to get cactus blooms as a tattoo and this is why. so stunning! i guess i still could? their colors are incomparable.

i continue to learn and enjoy oil painting. i used a palette knife to paint these flowers, and i truly needed a bigger canvas so my strokes were not so limited. i love oils not just for the richness of the colors, but for the texture—the learning curve is huge!!! 🧠 #art #oilpainting

i just had my two year #stroke anniversary. i have made much of these two years—traveled to new places, seen friends and family, made art, and finished my seventh novel. i feel so grateful to be here, being human. 🩵

5 years. what’s WILD is i’m basically same weight, but body composition is entirely different. i did a bone density scan this wk. asian women are at higher risk of osteoporosis. when i did scan 10+ yrs ago, i was borderline. this time, i was in the clear. i attribute this to my strength training 💯
