Did she just post twice in one month?! Yes, she did. I had to make sure I kept up my annual tradition of writing about Gilmore Girls — especially since the show turned 25 in October. Read! Like! Share! Subscribe! #amwriting #myblog

Here’s my reading recap for November. I’m on track to meet my book goal for the year, which makes me so happy as I had a reading slump in August and September.

I know not every TV critic is familiar with the trappings of the romance genre, but I’m tired of the implication that sex can’t be an important plot driver for individual and shared character development.
but this? shut the fuck up. guess what, my man, gorgeous young 22 year olds like to fuck. And queer people deserve love stories that are sexy and horny. a "chaste kiss" please be for real.

‘Tis the season for holiday rewatches this #LetterboxdFriday! I also saw five new-to-me films including Eddington (better than Beau Is Afraid), Beverly Hills Cop (loved it), and The Roses (Colman and Cumberbatch are fantastic). I wish DeVito’s The War of the The Roses was streaming. #LastFourWatched

Ari Aster does the Coen brothers.
Acts I and II: Fargo. But in the desert. During COVID. With political commentary threaded throughout. And everyone’s an asshole. Except Micheal Ward.
Act III: No Country for White Men. Who needs nuance?
That said, I didn’t hate it.

I absolutely loved FREAKIER FRIDAY! Just as good as the original. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much at a movie. #filmsky

Welcome to #LetterboxdFriday! My #LastFourWatched are below. Among the eight new-to-me films this week were some big name titles: Weapons (loved), Fantastic 4: First Steps (really fun) and 3 Women (utterly brilliant). And, of course, the return of RWRB because my friend Gaia and I are OBSESSED

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! I saw four new-to-me films, including the adorable The Worst Witch with Fairuza Balk and the not great Halloween Is Grinch Night — neither pictured. I loved Gregg Araki’s Nowhere, which isn’t much of a surprise as I’m such a fan of his. #lastfourwatched

Happy Halloween AND Happy #LetterboxdFriday! My #LastFourWatched are shown below, but I got in a recent personal best of SIX new-to-me movies this week. Out of these, I highly recommend Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), Häxan (1922), and Dead Ringers (1988).

Am I little too excited about Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers? Maybe. But we’re in the home stretch of the Scarestack Society’s 13 Days of Michael Myers so let’s celebrate with my look at the 1988 sequel. #HorrorMovies #filmsky #horrorsky

#LetterboxdFriday is here! This week, I saw three(!!!) new-to-me films, including Godzilla, King of the Monsters! with Raymond Burr (not pictured). It’s not as good as the Japanese original. Scanners was fantastic and Manos: The Hands of Fate was the worst kind of bad flick — it was BORING.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! My #LastFourWatched are all repeats, but I did get in one new-to-me flick this week: Silver Bullet, based on a Stephen King story with a screenplay by him. I enjoyed it! Plus, Megan Follows is in it!

It’s #LetterboxdFriday in October, which means more horror! I finally saw CASPER for the first time and I enjoyed it much more than Hocus Pocus. #LastFourWatched

#LetterboxdFriday already?! I managed to get in one new-to-me — Robert Altman’s Popeye — for my #LastFourWatched. All of these were viewed with my Bestie and the first three films we watched IRL on my birthday last Saturday! ❤️
