Funny thing is I had such a great day yesterday then shit happened this morning that made me think “oh the universe likes balance I see 💀” but then somehow I still got that last minute luck in me
But the real moral of the story is to never trust your coat pocket with small items

used to things you can start becoming more ambitious. Just a few words from my personal experience (which is that of a student who’s studying abroad which means not everything will be applicable, but oh well)

I know it might be tempting to try and do as much as you can in uni but for me personally first year is kinda like a “trial year” where you get to a new environment and learn new things, this time all by yourself unlike in school. It’s best to just take things easy at first then once you get +

This is just from my own experience but as a first year student I’d suggest you gauge your current workload. If it seems like it’s gonna be overwhelming then maybe it’s fine to drop just to avoid burning out so early in your uni years. Plus you can always reapply next year (I hope)

Idk why I don’t like talking shit abt profs and TAs (unless they’re huge assholes ofc) so seeing other students not being mean to them for once feels kinda pleasant yk? TAs especially coz they’re basically part time babysitters on top of their research

He’s fine btw but I just wanna appreciate that he still showed up and even asked another TA to take charge early on 🥹 And yk he’s the GOAT when the other students with me were like “if he doesn’t show up let’s pretend everything still went on as usual so he doesn’t get in trouble” 🥺
