Don't worry, you'll need the AC again later this week
We just had a birthday party for my youngest turning 13. We reserved a pavilion next to a playground, ordered pizza, and baked cupcakes. (And crossed our fingers for good weather) The kids played on the playground (and sat and talked). The adults sat in the pavilion to chat. Low key fun

Didn't see that in our neighborhood, but we are at the upper end of middle class and probably lower income than many of our neighbors. Though the full size candy bar and beverages for adults house didn't do anything this year.

Reach out to the younger ones and share what you like about your job and how it's solving problems. Or even just helping you put groceries on the table.
