NEW: 30+ civil society organisations urge MEPs to boycott the Scrutiny Working Group.

The body was created as part of a campaign of unfounded attacks on NGOs led by the European People's Party and far-right groups in the European Parliament.

🚨 Despite @ec.europa.eu confirming that EU funding to NGOs is lawful and transparent, a faction of MEPs have establish a working group to scrutinise a fabricated tale of “occult financing”.

We urge democratic forces to oppose this smear campaign and stand up for a healthy European democracy!
