I think we agree to the main objective, which is that Europe needs to get rid of energy dependencies and fossil fuels. No matter if imported from russia or the US. There are different ways to achieve this. A healthy mix of complementing sources combined in an European grid might be a good solution.

Even if one accepts this as independant and clean, it takes ~15 years to build a new nuclear pp nowadays. It's simply too late for nuclear energy to become a solution for Germany. And with regards to economy, just look at Hinkley Point C.

Independant energy? Rosatom is the only russian company not under EU sanctions still today due to Europes dependency on russian enriched uranium. Clean? It produces large amounts of depleted uranium which is a highly toxic waste that has to be stored for indefinite time.

In theory nice words by Rubio, in practice the two mobsters left and right of him tell us what this administration is actually pursuing.

Infuriating as those events are, they show that anti-corruption procedures and institutions are in place and successfully working. Part of every functional and healthy democracy. Unfortunately there are countries in the West that are doing much worse in this regard.

I'd be cautious about estimates of repair times as russians are sometimes quite capable of nailing together damaged facilities. Good news anyways. Every hit counts, particularily if it further eats up russian state budget.

When there is no russian shouting "Jeba" at the end, it wasn't a good one.

Das Ärgerliche ist, dass Europa diesem Diletanttismus nichts überzeugend entgegensetzt. Schlechter geht es doch gar nicht.

Doesn't bother me as long as Prez stays on Bluesky.

Technically speaking, it's not a batch but an endless loop.

Best answer to the 28 item capitulation plan possible: Let moscovites fell what it means to continue this stupid war.

A pessimistic hypothesys. But where is the argument? Given that more people today have experienced the benefits of democracy than ever before, there is good reason to believe that there are also stronger forces than ever before to rebuild democracy (if it gets lost at all).

Russian propaganda bitch complains about how rusky mir looks like outside moscow and st. petersburg. These territories have been occupied by russia since 2014 and everything happening there is the result of russian ineptitude and corruption.

Bislang hat noch jedes gesunkene Schiff zur Schwarzmeerflotte gehört.

It's hilarious that russians keep referring and appealing to Vladimir Vladimirovich, as if he was the nice uncle who would help and not the bitch that is responsible for the shit that rains down on them.

Most interesting for me with this Burevatnik thing is, that it was hardly covered at all by main stream media (at least here in Germany). Nuclear signaling only seems work if applied credible and in proper dosis, not in a weekly TV show rant.

Darwin award to whom Darwin award is due.

So even if if russians are literally drowning in their own shit, they do not come to the conclusion they should invest in something other than a stupid war? This nation is brain dead.

As far as I remember the only agreement of the Alaska meeting was that dinner had to be cancelled.

Not surprising at all after Trumps series of threats a couple of months ago.

Beyond colours there is pattern. And this pattern is clearly russian. Hegseth could have chosen an unambiguous tie. He chose not to do so.

Attempt to create a mutual russky-US business perspective to get Trump again on Putins side ("Trump tunnel" - the longest of the world). Ukraine is arguably doing the US industry a better favour by shutting down russias oil industry.
