The fans already solved this problem. A popular fan theory is that "James Bond" isn't a singular person, but a code name for the most elite spy Britain has at the time. Every James Bond you see is a different person who took up the mantle.

When you think about it, Count Duckula was the first Nicktoon, before even Rugrats and Doug. The branding didn't exist at the time, but it was the first cartoon Nickelodeon commissioned from a studio specifically for their channel.
