Introducing my two sweet horses! Since I apparently haven’t done that yet lol

Wren, in front, is a 5 year old Quarter Horse mare. Charley, in back, is an (almost) 19 year old OTTB gelding. I do not own Charley but he is a special situation/long term client who I treat like my own & love dearly

Police killed 152 people during routine traffic stops in 2024.

To save lives and protect our constitutional rights, cities must listen to the majority of voters who support limiting or ending police enforcement of certain minor traffic violations.
Why Police Traffic Stops Are Dangerous and Ineffective | ACLU
Millions of drivers are pulled over every year for minor violations like broken taillights or tinted windows. Data shows these stops rarely make roads safer, and instead lead to racial disparities, violence, and loss of trust in police.

The average US taxpayer spends $36 a year on SNAP

You know what they spend on corporate subsidies? $670

Poor and disabled people who need food are not the problem

If you’re angry about “your money” feeding people but not angry it’s giving tax cuts to the wealthy?

You’re doing their dirty work.

More and more Democrats in Congress understand that spending billions of taxpayer dollars to starve children in Gaza is not acceptable.

It’s time Republicans came on board.

No more military aid to Netanyahu’s war machine.

I love being pretty "extreme" in my "radical" beliefs, practices, and lifestyle while also being open to and aware of other perspectives. I feel like it really throws people off that I can strongly disagree with someone but have a conversation and not get heated lol.

Forced starvation is not 'malnutrition'.

Posted about this elsewhere but Charley was severely lame for days with an abscess in his right front and then randomly showed up lame in left front too for one day but then it went away? Horses are so stressful

no the US gov did not do this (or at least there’s 0 evidence of that), but our government has successfully used weather modification as a weapon before, so the concept is not as wild or far out there as some of you seem to think

I’m of course anti-AI in its current forms, but I feel absolutely feral whenever I come across people who spend what seems like hours a day ragging on others about the environmental impact of AI but won’t entertain the idea of eating slightly less meat to help the environment

learning that for many parents the generally accepted response to child having a tantrum in a store is to “walk away” and that most of the ppl who DONT respond that way think that’s being TOO NICE/PERMISSIVE genuinely scared me today

A while back when I discussed plastic pollution in my newsletter Talking Climate, I said the most important way we can cut it is not by recycling (only 8% is actually recycled) but rather by advocating for plastic bans where we live.

And now, guess what - there’s peer-reviewed evidence this works!
Plastic bag bans and fees reduce harmful bag litter on shorelines
Plastic pollution threatens marine and freshwater ecosystems and the services they provide. Although plastic bag bans and taxes are increasingly implemented worldwide, their effectiveness in reducing ...

To which I can only respond, "Yeah, it’s clean…"
