I guess I should mention that I'm running again in 2026 for Idaho House of Representatives, district 13 seat A.

Too many people on the campaign trail last time told me how valuable it was that their voices be heard. They deserve to be represented by someone who cares and listens to them.

They are more secretive than the Illuminati, apparently.

Unfortunately, that harsh reality is going to come roaring to the forefront soon. My wife and I are already speculating that we may not be able to afford our employer-provided health insurance next year.

To recap, in the past few weeks, they have said or implied that we (everyone left of Reagan) are all "Antifa". All of us. And that Antifa is a terrorist organization plotting insurrection. Or actually doing insurrection. And that they have the right to summarily execute terrorists without trial.

Portland really *was* destroyed, but an Austrian robot from the future went back in time to kill the evil Antifa general behind it, and succeeded and changed the future, which is the present, and Trump and Miller and Noem are Antifa robots from the future sent back to restore the original timeline.

Hate to spoil the fun, but the "Sora" watermark in the video is for an AI video generator.
cliff-for-idaho.org
Guys, the newer AI video generators are a lot harder to spot, and I've seen a lot of fake vids passed off as real recently. Luckily, many still have the AI watermark. If you see this logo, it's fake. Lots are funny animal videos, but plenty of ICE protest ones as well. Keep your eyes peeled.
Screenshot of an AI video that was shared on social media as though it were genuine. A red arrow and circle highlight the "Sora" logo that bounces around the screen during the video, indicating it was AI generated.

Yeah, but that court meeting was in Victorian England, right?

The corruption and grifting is so extreme and common that we just take it for granted. It barely registers anymore.

Seems really unlikely that rock and roll was used as the foundation for this city's infrastructure. Like, how is that supposed to support a water main?

I expect EMTALA to be on the chopping block sooner or later. The regime views kindness as weakness, responsibility as stupidity.

Worth going just for Berch, he knows what he's talking about.

My question is always, "So, when they show up to the ER, they should die. That's your position?"

And if that's their position, they're allowed to think that. I just want them to be honest about it.

If they have a solution where they get healthy, but we don't pay for it, I'd love to hear it.
cliff-for-idaho.org
Not that I've ever heard. I mean, I guess "angrily forceful" isn't really yelling. He is a deeply unhappy man.
cliff-for-idaho.org
Yep, that's why I said "lean". 😃
Anybody who says they know the way out of this is full of it. There's the clear path to avoid, and the rest is wilderness.
cliff-for-idaho.org
Exactly. I lean towards the notion that the regime is going to do bad things no matter what we do, so might as well do the right thing now. But that's easy to say when I know nobody's going to die because of my decision.

That's as true when your therapist says it about you, as when a book says it about our nation or society. Refusing to admit our flaws dooms us to making the same mistakes over and over. Banned books challenge us to do better, to amend our mistakes. To grow. And we should all want that.
cliff-for-idaho.org
Unless they truly did something unforgivable, you probably still loved them. Maybe even then.

Books don't point out our flaws in order to make us hate ourselves. They do it to help us become better. Because we can always do better. But first, we have to admit our mistakes.

Think of the people in your life who you love the most. Your kids, parents, siblings, spouse. Think of the times they really pissed you off. When they really screwed up. You probably expected them to do better. You probably want them to do better in the future.

Did you love them any less?

They get banned because we don't want to admit we aren't perfect. That our nation, faith, race, etc may have been wrong at times, may need some improvement.

They will justify the bans by claiming that criticism equals hatred. That the book is anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-white.

Happy Banned Book Week!

If you look at what books tend to get banned, a couple of themes emerge. One is books that make people, especially people with power or privilege, uncomfortable. Books that suggest that the things we love may be flawed, that *we* are flawed.

Not defending or criticizing anyone, just trying to get in their heads.

States that have been threatened but not moved against yet may be in a better position. If New York and Washington state mobilize their guards now with orders to protect the populace, before shit starts there, they may be in a stronger position, politically and otherwise.
cliff-for-idaho.org
I'm just speculating on what folks like Pritzker may be thinking. They must be balancing the likelihood of escalating violence if they do nothing versus if they roll out the Guard. Plus hoping ICE pulls out on their own soon and it won't be necessary. It's a bad position to be in.
cliff-for-idaho.org
I think this is a big part of it. Project 2025 specifically calls for pitting the national guards of red states against blue states. They're afraid of playing in to their hands. Pritzker doesn't want bloodshed, but Abbot? Not so sure.
