My dad took me to the game at Fulham in '76 where we won 5-1, we were great that day
Fulham had Marsh, Moore & Best in those days. My dad said after the game, "It doesn't get any better than that." That was it for him he didn't go to another game!! 😅

He was a good old Meadows bloke. He would take me into the pub before the games as he'd meet his mates there Remember, I'd have to hide under a bench seat if the police came in and of course I was told not tell my gran or parents, but they knew..😊

1st game vs. Bradford Park Avenue, 66/67 season. Grandad took me down, I was able to stand at the front & almost touch the players, loved the b&w striped shirts. Immediately decided they were the team for me, much to my grandma's disappointment as she was a "wrong 'un" as my Grandad called them.
