Just found out my sax player died an hour ago. Hitting the stage in 10 w/the rest of the band to do it like Dan would’ve wanted. Rest easy, bud.

miss me w/the spotify grandstanding. there is no ethical consumption under capital. putting the onus on the individual to solve systemic issues is class-traitor lib brainrot.

I’m 81 musical years old and I listened to 95k minutes of so-called “nu jazz”

You have never seen this or thought about class like this. This has been the common understanding of class since you were a child. The fact that you don’t know this shows why you aren’t qualified to discuss class seriously. Your framing is 1880s vintage and has been long discarded by sociology.

Stoehr has a reductive understanding of complex American class dynamics that doesn't account for contradictory class locations or the hybrid class nature of laborer-owner small biz. The academic who literally wrote the book on class, Erik Olin Wright, says Stoehr's position is archaic and uninformed

wife’s rain-soaked sign from yesterday’s protest at Collins & King offices, w/bonus Bean.
November 11, 2025 at 6:51 PM
We held a protest at Collins’s office in Portland earlier today, and then went around the corner to King’s. They locked the door and turned off the lights, and didn’t answer the phone.

We banged on his office door today for an explanation. They locked it and turned off the lights. Fuck Angus King, his $22m net wealth, and the millions he raked in from Lockheed, Raytheon, Honeywell, Google, Microsoft, and DoorDash. He’s a wealthy parasite voting for his wealthier donors.

I went with 40 of my closest comrades to the Portland office of @senangusking.bsky.social to let him know he sold out Mainers' healthcare and starved kids just to fold and get nothing. They turned off the lights, locked the door, and didn't answer the phone.
