Exchange of posts in the comment section of Instructure's post about "Product announcements from InstructureCon 2025". Community participant cmuir asks, "Will OpenAI have access to Canvas course content for training purposes? And, if yes, will it make a difference if the course instructor has opted out of all OpenAI integrations?" Instructure employee DeepaPrasad replies, "Hi @cmuir no course content will be used for training purposes by OpenAI, full stop."

My office is continuing to work closely with the congressional delegation on the arrest and detainment of Alfredo Juarez Zeferino and others who were taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) yesterday morning. We have no new information to share today. We will continue to work with community leaders to gather information as this situation develops.
