but the thing about my dad was that he was always extremely sensitive to the death and suffering of daughters, because he would see me in those characters and one of his worst fears was not being able to save me from that kind of suffering

i was telling them both about Twin Peaks, mostly my dad, as my brother was walking a bit ahead of us and i don’t think he was really listening to me, but i was happy to be spending time with them both. i almost asked my dad if he wanted to watch the show with me.

had a dream yesterday that i was walking through this endless stretch of a megastore with my dad and brother. It had no proper aisles, just squares of carpet in a grid of linoleum walkways, with short white shelves in the center of each. a little like the clothing section of such stores.

i ended up feeling so scared by the prospect, i went deeper and deeper into the bunker to hide. it felt like it went on forever, and when i made it to the last room, there was just a giant hole in the ground. when i looked into it, my ears would ring, and the air felt stale and flat.

had a dream that my family and i were settling in to a bunker, and when it was sealed, we’d all have to go into cryosleep. my mother mentioned something about poison we had to tuck between our cheek and gums, that would only activate if the cryosleep process was interrupted.

i took his hand and he laughed, then rested his head against my shoulder, and hid his face in my neck. i'm unsure if this was a romantic thing or not, but the idea of him trusting me enough to be close to me like that made me really happy.

had a weird dream i was playing a ttrpg with someone i had (sort of still have) a crush on. one point we were sharing a computer to participate in the call, and i notice him resting his hand on his thigh, palm facing up. I just stared, confused, until he said "you too good to hold my hand, or what?"
