When state lawmakers are assassinated and our media essentially shrugs and moves on, how can we be shocked that candidates are hesitant to come forth? Hortman herself would have been a fantastic candidate, but we were robbed of that future by Republicans’ constant barrage of violent rhetoric.

I don’t mean to like your pain, but I see “took a little tumble” and I have to like the post. Can never say those words without the orc from the Two Towers coming to mind

Are these captions accurate? I don’t believe Thom Hartmann replaced Keith Ellison as MN AG ;)

“It sounds like it’s still for you” -Spokesperson for a company who really cares about more than my money after I get done telling them the legitimate reasons, as well as reiterating the company’s own line of, “maybe this isn’t for you”, is pure comedy. 🥸

Man, what a damning statement of WotC as a whole. Their best designers are assigned to IPs no one asked for while their own lore is ignored and sacrificed on the altar of the almighty dollar.

Hope the designers for these UB sets don’t face repercussions, but wish they’d be reassigned to WotC IPs

Hope you’re well again soon!

I resonate strongly with this. FFT is also my favorite game. It’s hard to take time for the things we love when there’s so much pain around us.

I constantly need the reminder that rest and joy are resistance. I’m sure you know this well, but if the reminder helps- I hope you are warm again soon.

I admire your constant commitment to boosting mental health awareness and community building

If we’re not out here trying to be better than we were yesterday, what’s the point? Journey before destination. Thanks for the gentle lesson today.

To be clearer, I was referring to the Church selling indulgences. My language was not clear to make this apparent and I apologize. This is one of those moments where my white Protestant privilege and ignorance betrayed my intention- and I’m sorry for the unintended antisemitic allusion.

This was absolutely what I had meant, apologies for not making that clearer. In no way was I intending to use this in an antisemitic way, I was only referring to the practice of inventing a waiting room for Heaven to sell indulgences

What a double edged sword, though. Ironically the historical context around the development of Sola Scriptura certainly paints it in a different light. When the Church was weaponizing guilt and shame (shocked) to make money, Sola Scriptura offered a path away from the moneychangers in the temple.

How embarrassing for the WSJ. No better than a tabloid but claiming full legitimacy of legacy media. Without issuing a full retraction and commitment to do better, the WSJ sits with their entire ass hanging out and declares, “it’s fashion, idiot” to anyone unfortunate enough to have eyes.

Ah, my own apologies if this comment was satirical. As a Minneapolis resident, the news this morning hit a bit deep and I couldn’t place the sarcasm

Fuck you, EMS has called for mass casualty response and your first thought is that the most divisive figure in modern politics would make things better? After years and years of the GOP refusing to take up gun control legislation after countless school shootings? You’re either a bot or very stupid

The book that first validated my PTSD feelings and showed me others really *did* understand. I have the First Ideal tattooed on my arm

George Bush (Sr) did actually renege on a campaign promise of “no new taxes” in order to balance the budget, so we could maybe give him a bone? But no modern Republican has left behind a good economy.

2 months before, back to back weekends on opposite sides of the country… Not really enough time for those of us in the middle of the country to figure out travel plans nor feasible to attend both, and no US Regional date announced?

If our only hope is an opportunist who platforms Nazis and legislates anti-trans laws into existence, we’re not much better than Republicans. We have more options than a man who was previously married to Don Jr’s girlfriend.

lol it’s almost as if Universes Beyond and the full tilt into collectibility is bad for MtG in the long run… as most of us have been saying for years at this point. If people want a real game and not this ghost of one, it’s time to look outside of WotC.

Sure, though agendas in Thrones did a good job of rewarding varying playstyles. Even in the same House, different agendas changed the viable card pool and helped create different play styles. I just think it’s a shame that with over 100 leaders, ~15 are represented competitively
