I find like 50% of the time when I advocate for a policy idea and some chud is like "That would never work, that's socialism" you can say "Actually we used to do this and it coincided with the largest expansion of the middle class in American history.

My neighbors have been smoking hella weed in their backyard all summer. They start around 5:30a most days--if our windows are open you can smell it throughout the house. This morning it is about 47 degrees out so I wondered what they'd do, but I looked over and they have erected a bar patio heater.

One interesting thing to witness about the ICE shooting is the immediate attempt to paint it as left-wing violence being met with relative indifference because in the end it was immigrants who were killed and you can't get people on the Right to care.
