Friday 11/14 COTD is the 8 of pentacles. Let's focus on finishing up a few projects we've been working on. Work, work, focus, focus.

Hard work and dedication to projects pay off big time. Is there one thing in particular that needs your attention?

Thursday 11/13 COTD is the Page of Wands. His role in the Tarot is to announce the news, opportunities, shifts and changes in our community and in our lives.

Wands represent the fire element that equates to action.

He announces developments of others actions and or decisions to take action.

Last Dance With Mary Jane

Last chance for the dream that never looked back.
She broke Tom's heart in 4 bars; yet he played on.

Bubbling up from my depths
Come all the feelings
I tried to escape from
Now I sit still
Wait for answers
The ones I ignored for so long
And went off the rails doing so
I delight in the peace and clarity
As old tapes are gradually erased
The real me emerging

Monday 11/10 COTD is the Magician. He reminds us that we are capable of magic.

When the magician shows up in a reading, i know the person is going to be successful in reaching their goal.

It looks like it's an "I can do it" kind of day. Let's get our magic on, and get started.

This is hard to watch. I don't have words for how angry this makes me.
ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”

He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care

This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person

They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota

A rocket ship
Transporting and transforming
Thought into symbols on paper
When they're read
The process reversed
It steadies my hand
The one that trembles
With age and urgency
I will always prefer pen and paper
The medium where my poems first arose.

Realistic trauma recovery starts by just noticing, without shame or judgment (that part's important), how often we reflexively try to cram ourselves into an identity that doesn't fit us just because someone else expects or desires us to "be" that person.

Just notice today.
