I’m still underselling how much this book means to me. It’s really something special. The parallel arcs for Scout and Merrin, the little moment at the end with Scout’s old friend, it’s all so elegant. Now when I listen to concert band renditions of nerd music I just picture the girls tearing it up🤦‍♀️

Seriously, it’s a great book. The truest fictional depiction of obsessive fan-hood I’ve ever seen. Really solid want vs need stuff. Had me in stitches frequently. “I like pop…”
