I agree—that’s what I’m saying. Greed is out of control, there should be no such thing as billionaires. Our whole system is terrible. I don’t know how to convince people that they should care about others. And I’m not special, there are literal millions of people here who feel the same way

That’s way overstating it. Less than half of the votes went to him, and 90 million didn’t vote. You can’t say that 90 million didn’t have a problem with him winning—you don’t know their reasons for not voting. Yes, more Americans support it than should have, no doubt. But it isn’t 2/3.

Our democracy is failing because it is combined with unfettered capitalism, with zero sense of responsibility for each other.

We are differentiated from it. It’s supposed to be representative, but it isn’t. Thanks to the Electoral College, gerrymandering, our ridiculous campaign finance system. Mamdani is the first person I’ve voted for in years who I feel shares my values, and that’s a local election.

The current American “leadership” is not to be trusted. Many of us everyday Americans (who absolutely did not vote for him/this) are also looking on in horror. We support our allies backing away from the US, we just hope that someday we’ll earn your trust again.

The exact thing I said last night when I heard the news. Honestly just so so frustrating and infuriating. I stopped giving any money to Dems after no one contested the election results, and this just confirms what I thought: it’s a bad investment.
