Years ago in Toronto, a mayor named John Tory voted with opposition councillors while giving his supporting councillors "cheat sheets" telling them to vote the opposite way. Chuck Shumer has voted "no" while getting some Democratic senators to vote for his preferred "yes" with the Republicans.

To be honest I was skeptical of the casting of Matt LeBlanc as Paul, but when he burst into the meeting of the Fremen leaders and started belting out the opening chorus of "How Ya Dune," I must admit, was mesmerized.

Schumer is behind this, and he'll try to come out of it looking blameless.

Now that polling shows Republicans own the shutdown, Schumer is fine with people losing their insurance in exchange for people turning out to vote in the midterms. It's only ever been about gaining and maintaining power, not improving the lives of constituents.
