Word Bearers Saturnine Terminator

This brother is farther along the path than the last, having shed the Imperial eagle and etched passages from The Book of Lorgar into it. A few litanies nailed in highlight this fashion forward heretical look. Rawr!

Tried out a Raven Guard over the weekend, went for a pale emo vibe. The head is slightly over scaled for the rest of the pressfit body, but other than that, pretty happy with the results.

After last week's Sister bust, I was unhappy with how the face turned out. So back to the drawing board with a lil practice with a focus on multicolor underpainting.

Thinned warmed flesh over multicolor, normal flesh glaze, then adjustments and tweaks.

First model, so did not want to get too nutso with all the Word Bearers faff. Happy with the grey stone armor plates and shading. Maybe need a bit more drip from the bloody hand to sell it, tho.

I think I have an old, possibly half dried out but certainly in need of a shake, bottle of the AP Matte... Somewhere. I'll give it a shot on a test mini (provided I can find it, might just pick up a fresh one instead).
