I think we should be a little more lenient to some conservatives who are condemning countries like Hungary or Israel.

A lot of them voted conservative because they didn't realize how bad populism was. Many are finding out that with Populist Conservatives, the populism comes before the conservatism.

Would be nice, but it feels like it would be borderline impossible to actually pass as would getting rid of the Senate. The people who live in rural states lile Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, etc. would face substantial power loss, so I doubt they would ever support it.

My takeaway from all of this is that I think states' rights might be the way, as much as some people on the left might hate that answer.

If the states had greater power it would have prevented so much of this nonsense Trump is doing to hurt America, and only individual red states would suffer.

While that may be true, I feel that if a Palestinian state isn't recognized now, the odds of Palestine being wiped off the map with Trump and Netanyahu in office is pretty high. I think this might be the only way to save Palestine as a project.

There's definitely a chunk of the far-left that is publicly anti-gun but celebrates shootings of people they don't like.

Very ironic seeing takes like these coming from people on the left, who consistently argue in favor of gun reforms as well.

Fair point.

I think they would sooner make amendments to kick someone out than disband it entirely.

Will the tariffs stop India from buying Russian oil? I'm extremely doubtful.
September 9, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Why would he call for tariffs on India 😭
September 9, 2025 at 9:34 PM
I would hope they wouldn't, but especially during times of war with Russia kicking out Turkey seems more likely than NATO disbanding.
September 9, 2025 at 4:18 PM
From kicking out Turkey? Not much, I would argue we lose more than we gain. Turkey would likely just turn to more authoritarian allies.

But it still doesn't change the fact that there is a lot of resentment towards the Turks, from the Swedes, Greeks, and Americans.

Turkey has always been a controversial member of NATO anyway, so it wouldn't surprise me if NATO just kicked Turkey out. I doubt the Israelis would bomb the Greeks or any other NATO member.

The reason I turned away from Destiny is just his total lack of caring about optics. He makes extremely crass jokes about Palestinians being bombed and starved at terrible times.

I think it's unfortunate that someone who doesn't care about his online appearance is the face of liberalism.
