A lot of people in rural areas built up extensive rationalizations about why they shouldn't hate their Nazi neighbors and decided to make it everybody's problem by posting about it. "Oh, they're actually good people, oh they're just waiting for the right message from Dems. Oh, they'll never vote dem but that's fine, but we should still be nice.
