Thanks for this! I'm expecting anywhere from 350mg-1g soil samples with ~30-70 ng/uL DNA, so maybe the QiaCube would work for us - what was your low biomass?

We use this kit too - It's the best, but I can do max 100 preps per day, and we will have 1600 samples incoming 😱 Don't they also sell a 96-well plate version?

Yes, it can be difficult especially if the slides are fast and the numbers are small. But equally, googling “Smith 2029 Nature” can be just as difficult to find the paper 😆 but I’m glad we are trying something new

Is this also the first time that a bacterial-phage SynCom has been used in plants? Interesting results showing that phages are co-existing with bacteria in planta. Can't wait for the publication!
