Two World Health Organization (WHO) public information officers started World AIDS Day in 1988. It's is a day of solidarity for people around the world who are affected by HIV and for voices to unite by sharing experiences, remembering those lost, and standing together in the fight against HIV.

Most of my web site is made up of advice for nonprofits to use tech for public relations & marketing & how to use it to support & engage volunteers & build community. Replacing references to Twitter as a suggested tool is taking sooo long. Also have to remove links to a defunct online community.

Been watching The American Revolution on PBS over this Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Among the many things it is, it's a primer on what herd immunity looks like & how many people have to DIE to get there without vaccines. The earliest days of the USA make it clear: inoculations & vaccinations WORK.
"Vaccinate" vs. "Inoculate" vs. "Immunize": What Are The Differences?
In combatting the COVID-19 pandemic, the words "vaccinate," "inoculate," and "immunize" come up in headlines daily. Can they be used interchangeably, though?

If Trump and the Republicans invade Venezuela, it means America has invaded Venezuela. How did we feel about those Germans that didn’t want Hitler to invade Poland? Remember them? No— as the world saw it, it was Germany that invaded Poland, and it will be America that invades Venezuela.

Cancer drug Revlimid is one of the bestselling pharmaceutical products of all time, with total sales of over $100 billion.

It’s also extraordinarily expensive, costing nearly $1,000 for each pill, even though that pill costs just 25 cents to make.

When the current administration says they are working to cut off people here illegally from receiving federal benefits - which they don't receive, BTW - what they mean is that the are boing to cut such off from LEGAL residents who are in the process of getting green cards.
