Every time I think about the Dreamcast, I remember what it felt like when gaming still surprised me.

Big swings. Weird ideas. Pure soul.
It was lightning in a box.
It gave us arcades in our living rooms and a glow we’re still chasing.

The Dreamcast didn’t live long…
but the memories did 💙💙

The journey of Detroit’s own Black arts movement — from responding to historical disenfranchisement to representing the complexity of the Black experience — paved the way for the city to become the mecca of Black art that it is today.

This a great point. One of the consequences of our exorbitant celebrity culture is that we see famous people primarily through the lens of their fame. *Why* they are famous has become largely irrelevant when compared with the fact of their fame.

Hence, the celebrity is above all, a “famous” person.
I actually think it’s okay to take a ridiculous scandal seriously when it involves a wingnut conspiracy theorist in charge of things like vaccine policy and pandemic preparedness

Sorry to be a wet blanket 🤷🏻‍♀️
