That and legacy media companies making journalists make videos was never going to work. Being a good writer doesn't mean you are good at making videos.

The Nuzzi story on the heels of a New York Times reporter being all over the Epstein Files really sums up the state of media in our current times. These aren't just one offs, but a culture created by the outlets and their management.

I randomly covered the 2013 match, which is still the only time I've been in the CLink press box. I sat next to Matt Pentz when he still worked in Longview. Eddie Johnson scored and I ate great food.

23. The Overstory by Richard Powers (Nov. 4) - this book is life changing and I’m mad I waited so long to read it; not only is it a great story, the depth of knowledge and learning you get about trees and what makes them the rock stars of our planet. There is a reason this won the Nobel.
