JFK was murdered on this date in 1963. In 5 years his brother and MLK, Jr would be, too. Since then one party has turned to hate and the other to focus-group slide decks in response. Since this was first published years ago my sons have grown. But the question remains.

Mr. Tennant died of cancer 46 years to the day after my father died of cancer. When my dad died he was on the then-experimental drug Interferon and his agreement was the only thing that was needed for them to try it. It didn’t save him, but the docs wanted us to know after that they learned a lot.
