Finished Dragon Quest 1 HD2D Remake today and it was fantastic, IMO. Captured the charm of the OG with smart qol. Story and mechanic changes keep it from being a straight rehash. It looks great and I loved the orchestral soundtrack. Highly recommend.

What a fun revisit to my first rpg. It's really well done, recommended. Looking forward to moving on to II.

A nice touch in the DQ HD2D Remake, when you acquire all the Erdrick gear the Character sprite changes from the descendants similar look to the real deal.

Went in blind on this and it's good. It looks great, sounds great, and it's been smartly revamped to modernize the very simplistic grind that was the 1st game. The story won't ever be persona5/ff15 good but given the source I'm pleasantly surprised.

Also, Mike, that's not precisely true if the next Xbox can natively play my library and BC games, as shown by the ally.
