End of the thread by now! I know, it's mostly speculations at the moment, but it looks very convenient for Jun, Jin and Asuka to be in the same place and reawake their potential in the same time.
Hope that future story expansions will not debunk that theory.

So by pure chance and luck, Asuka would've saved the entire world.
Which aligns well with her character and design elements, since her signature swallow is a symbol of good fortune and new beginnings in Japan.

So, if Asuka was there along with Lili, she possibly could've awaken not only her Naniwa Gusto ability, but also Jun, who later helped Jin reawakening his purification powers and save the day.

But since Jun is on the upper level of the Sanctum, and Asuka is in some other location, it's fair to assume she could be on the lower level of the shrine.
Most likely going into the same entrance Jun did seven years ago to check the place about G-corp soldiers being there or something else.
