Oh hard agree! Black + a bold color always looks so elegant. I've done this black and gold, then I have a few others planned for the next batch.

Nice thing about not going anywhere for Thanksgiving is that I can have a slice of pie the night before if I damn well want to.
I'll eat it for breakfast, too, before we go out hiking.

Nice thing about not going anywhere for Thanksgiving is that I can have a slice of pie the night before if I damn well want to.

Not my best work, but it is -in fact- a homemade apple pie. Crust ended up a bit salty, so I glazed the top with a mixture of fireball, maple syrup, and a dusting of coarse sugar.

One of these days I'm going to get through one of these exercises without misspelling (I work backwards), smudging or messing up the alignment. Still, awful proud of some of these 'm's, 'i's, and 'w's.

TIL what a pangram is (well, what the word for a 'quick brown fox...' is). Found a few in Latin to practice for flavor.

I doubled my usual batch of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies so we'd have enough for neighbors, the friends stopping by our place, ourselves, and to have a plate out with our hot beverage station for Trick or Treaters (or their guardians).
