“When I see that, I worry that they might face serious trouble down the line if they don't take it more seriously.”
Hirohiko Araki addresses Al art in his latest book:
"Recently, I came across a drawing that perfectly mimicked my art style. I thought 'I don't remember drawing this' only to find out it was Al, I was shocked, this is truly evil and a tool for scammers"

In this post there is a photo of Hirohiko Araki, creator of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure next to Giorno from the series. By Hirohiko Araki. It’s titled “Today’s World of Con Artists” and it reads: Speaking about 'societal evils, I think that as Al continues to spread throughout society, we're going to see an increasingly shady world filled with scammers exploiting it. Recently, I came across a drawing and thought, "This is something I drew, right?" I was shocked to find out it was actually created by Al. When I draw manga, I add subtle, personal elements that make the work uniquely mine. But this Al-generated piece even mimicked details like the way I draw eyelashes, so precisely that it was almost impossible to tell it apart from my work. If it were based on recent drawings, I'd know right away, "No, I didn't draw this." On the other hand, I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference if it were done with my art from about ten years ago, when my memory of it would be a little hazy. The more Al advances, the more this kind of thing will happen.
Art reflects the times, and manga is one example of that. Seeing this world of con artists appear in manga could very well mean that we're headed for a future world dominated by fraudsters. This type of 'evil' in today's age will undoubtedly end up impacting manga down the line.
Copyright infringement by Al is also a 'villain' that we manga artists must face. The extreme scenario is that Al-generated fakes might start being accepted as the "real thing," and even if we try to protect our work, these counterfeits are becoming so accurate and sophisticated that it's no longer a fight an individual can win. Having some kind of laws would probably be the only way to regulate this. However, because we're dealing with a world of con artists, there's also a very real possibility that laws favoring them will appear before we know it. Personally, I entrust my copyright management to Shueisha, but some manga artists are lax in managing their copyrights, leading to others using their artwork without permission or even leaking original drawings.

Apparently this is false, the article that cites this information was translated from a Korean article that doesn’t mention ChatGPT at all. The song was also written 8 years ago. I think Sherwin Wu just lied to try and drum up excitement using a popular thing

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME
We launched the OpenAl Korea office yesterday!

Fav moment from the launch celebration was hearing singer/songwriter Vince share that ChatGPT helped him write
"Soda Pop" from KPop Demon Hunters!
It apparently gave him ideas to make it sound "more bubbly"

I firmly believe @safety.bsky.app is setting a precedent that weakens its own Safety First carve out for journalism and artistic expression. Bluesky leadership is basically saying "if you post an offending phrase, even quoting your own journalistic work, you are gone"

Unsustainable for the platform
2. Safety First

Do not glorify violence or harm. For example, do not post content that:
Depicts or Encourages Violence or Abuse: Includes violence or threats against others, intimate partner abuse, or harm to animals. These rules do not prevent you from posting content that involves:

    Journalism, Education, and Advocacy:
Factual reporting, academic research, or educational content about criminal acts, violence, mental health, online safety, youth risks, or public interest issues.
Anti-violence advocacy, safety campaigns, or prevention resources.
Content warning about dangerous viral challenges.
    Artistic, Fictional, and Historical Expression:
Depictions of violence or sensitive topics in fiction, art, or historical documentation—if appropriately labeled and not glorifying harm.
Internationally recognized art containing non-sexualized images of minors.

If you watch any YouTuber/video with even a smidge of mature themes - make sure to turn off "Restricted Mode".

Many of your favourite creators will have videos that won't make it passed the AI filter.

Many have already seen a steep decline in viewership.

Spider lilies can symbolise many things in different cultures, often relating to life, death, and renewal. They can also represent passion, hope, and resilience due to their vibrant colors and ability to bloom year after year. I think this is fitting with my life currently.
