Sept. 15 – Oct. 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month, and we’re celebrating by highlighting Latine professionals who have done incredible work in the field of computer science!
Latine Heroes in Computer Science: Victoria C. Chávez developed an app that tells people which stores accept food stamps and works to make CS more accessible to students with disabilities. Drew “Dr. Woohoo” Trujillo leads multiple teams that merge technology, engineering, art, and math to create immersive art experiences that transport audiences to fantastic realms. Anielle Guedes founded and leads Urban 3D, a Brazilian start-up that 3D prints construction materials from recycled goods to quickly create buildings and infrastructure.
