The government's intelligence gathering apparatus is literally "I saw this snuff film on X" now and I have no idea why people haven't realized this or still post there regularly like you're not feeding a government surveillance firehose.
They are coming to Charlotte literally because of a few right-wing propaganda accounts on X and I am livid.

As someone who grew up in an observatory city that had light pollution regulations I cannot express how big of a pet peeve not trying to curb light pollution is.

ITS NOT HARD
Lots of folks captioning aurora photos like "for a few minutes we didn't think about politics"

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

This piece of shit was rolling around Portland with one of Mulugeta Sera’s killers, neonazi Kyle Brewster in Portland 2019.
In March, a security guard at Club Dwntown sucker punched Rafeal Montoya and killed him. Police officers watched it happen and did nothing and the security has never been charged. Now he’s missing.

Turns out the security guard was Charles "Brandon" Recor, a Proud Boy with a history of violence.

You can thank the LAPD for creating militarized policing. They used the shootout with the Black Panther’s and the Watts Uprising to justify its existence. Later on they’d use the 1984 Olympics and War on Drugs to further entrench the police as soldier, in equipment and mentality.
I simply refuse to accept that police ever have to look like this. this is just pure cosplay. it should be illegal for cops to be dressed like soldiers going to war.

every era invents its own hitler for its own needs. Personally I like to think of him as a violent police informant who hounded his underaged niece into suicide over fucking him, something that is well-attested by history and does not require melting magic chemicals near each other to detect autism

It has:
- shown he had a disorder which impacted his sexual development
- debunked rumours about his ancestry

feels relevant today
we have an elite impunity problem and a lot of the people and institutions that nominally oppose Trump will burn down their own before admitting that this helped produce him
I've said it many times before and Andrew Cuomo is making me say it again: we don't have a cancellation problem. We have never had a cancellation problem. To the contrary, we have a problem that "disgrace" is a very temporary embarrassment— an brief entr'acte more than an intermission.

To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015

What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?
