Thanks! My initial impulse was to paint these in red and black, like the original Chaos Dwarf scheme. But I really wanted to try some colors I dont often use - I'm fairly happy with the result.

Thanks! I was very tempted to do something based on the Old School red and black, but I've already got a red AdMech army so wanted to try a color I've not used before.

Any of the Combat Patrol boxed sets are a good starting point. If you know what faction your son likes then there will be at least one box for that faction. If you don't know what he might like, Space Marines are basically the gateway army for most players. Good luck!

The armor is great, and the work on the icons is just brilliant!

For a 70 point unit, the opening Scout move is such a good ability. In this game the Varanguard got hung up not wanting to charge them since I had a reinforced unit of Bull Centaurs waiting to countercharge. I didn't lose a single Hobgrot during the game.
