Costco run in Colorado Springs on our little cargo bike #ternHSD

A trail goes right to the shopping center their parking lot is the most stressful part of the trip

More Denver stuff, lived in Colorado for 11+ years and had not ridden the Cherry Creek trail until this week and this was my first time riding the Broadway Bike Lane - Riding against vehicle traffic felt weird but the bike signals were great

Now to get it added to google maps
Cherry creek trail in downtown Denver Looking southbound on the newish bi-directional bike lane on Broadway there are still 3 one way vehicle lanes, parking on both sides, a bus lane and this bike lane Looking north bound on the newish bi-directional bike lane on Broadway riding against 3+ lanes of one way traffic feels a bit weird, and the bike signals are a must but it’s a nice connection. Now to get it added to google maps. My bike on the Broadway street bridge over cherry creek with the trail in the background. Took this while I was waiting for the southbound Bustang

🚇 Sinton trail tube to be removed and replaced with proper underpass
🛣️ Sand Creek & Rock Island trail to connect and trail under Powers Blvd to be built
2025+ Initial planning has begun on improvements to the Sinton Trail underpass at Centennial Blvd construction not expected until 2026/27 This is one of the voter-approved PPRTA 3 projects starting this year, one other bike and pedestrian projects on the list is the construction of a shared use trail between Rockrimmon Blvd and Garden of the Gods Rd along Russina/Tech Center Dr. Two separate projects will connect Rock Island trail with Sand Creek Trail and build a trail underpass at sand creek and Powers Blvd Design on Rock Island Trail East of Powers is expected to be completed in early 2025, with construction following throughout 2025 and into 2026. Design on Sand Creek Trail under Powers is under review with stormwater and CDOT hopefully to be finalized in 2025 with construction anticipated to start in late 2026

New bike lane added to Wooten Rd between Platte and Palmer Park Blvd This is one of the bike lanes added or improved in 2024 with the addition of Fountain Blvd Bike Lanes and the improvement of the Vickers Rd bike lanes Bike and Pedestrian improvements are scheduled to start in 2025 on 8th St between Hwy 24 and Motor City Dr. We’ll post more details when they’re available Postponed in 2024, we expect Cascade Rd south of Colorado Ave to be restriped with bike lanes early in 2025. Read more at our link on likely reasons it was not completed in 2024
