This same hash table achieves O(log δ^-1) worst-case expected probe complexity, which is proven to be optimal for any open-addressing scheme without reordering. For greedy open-addressing strategies, a new method called "funnel hashing" achieves O(log^2 δ^-1) worst-case expected probe complexity.

While I agree that data and energy reduction could accelerate AI evolution, it's important to consider the vast amounts of high-quality data stored by private enterprises such as Facebook and Samsung.
