i mean, maybe i'm experiencing my own mandela effect rn but isn't it like a VERY common thing to sculpt highlights in the eyes to avoid the blank stare? am i trippin'

like don't try to tell me people thought about it for more than 2 secs and went "yup, totally meant to be heart eyes" and not a sculptor's way to show highlights in the pupil so that eyes look more alive
