Forgot to post it here yesterday but we finished Jayce’s Hammer!!!

Pulled an all nighter to finish it and drove all the way to @3dprintopia.bsky.social Saturday morning.

Coming in at about 7ft and 25-30lbs it was fun to carry 😅

Appreciate all who supported and looking forward to building more!

One step closer to finishing this hammer!

Next is to finalize the servo arms we will be working on during tonight’s stream.

The main part of the hammer is made of 8 sections and printed using @polymaker.bsky.social Panchroma PLA Silk Gold, Silk White, Matte Grey, and Matte Black.

Less than 2 weeks to go! Going to finish up assembly of the hammer section over the next couple of days and design the servo arm tonight.

This might actually call for a productivity stream tonight since we have a ton to do.

Printed some of the final bits for the hammer. During Thursday’s stream I separated the bottom segment so that we didn’t waste material with filament changes. Left print is the prototype.

Jayce hammer progress 😁

Hollowed out the internal housing for the electronics to keep the hammer light and not waste filament.

Fixed the servo test code to rotate the servo to a given angle. So far so good.

Learning to simulate the joints in Fusion has been a great visual!

My new boss during my annual review did not understand why I wasn’t working past 5pm even though I am salaried. Saying he wants me to take more initiative.

I do what I have to do and go home. I’m tired of pouring everything and seeing others do the bare minimum and get nothing in return. I’m done.

When I stopped giving 120% at work all the time I personally started to feel better. I’m not killing myself for a paycheck anymore. My brain is happier. I’m happier. Work life balance is VERY important in this always connected world.
