so much potential. So little success.

Two memories:

1) the time they put "Izzy" on his uniform for one game because "isringhausen" wouldn't fit. Anyone remember what game?

2) his return mate career, and Gary Cohen musing that we last saw him as the wide-eyed kid, now as the grizzled veteran, but we missed everything between.

Just remember that if you get your *last* whip captured you can't rescue it and have a double

Best thing is that wooden percussive noise the handsticks make when they hit it.

Punched teammates, cocaine use, and profanity?

Maybe they thought he was an actual judge.

Nobody *anywhere* wants to hear anymore from Charlie Kirk.

His ceiling is #1. His floor is "best pitcher in AAA who gets badly exposed in the show"

This may be unreasonably lionizing the side I'm on now, but it seems worse from the right; there are a ton of people on the right who delight in "owning the libs"; I don't see a corresponding movement on the left to do things deliberately to upset conservatives

I think you know that Leonard was a Republican growing up in the 1980s, and even voted for Bob Dole. Probably for W too, but that was the last one.

I may be deluding myself, but I feel it was more justifiable back then. You could squint and not see the racism if you chose to not look.

Tong could be an ace, he could be a flop, he could be anything in between.

That changeup looks elite to my admittedly untrained eye, but the annals of baseball are filled with guys who had potential but never took it anywhere.

Need I remind you of Generation K?

It's a protest vote; there are people who had reservations with all three candidates:

Mamdani for perceived anti-Israel bias
Cuomo for a history of sexual assault
Sliwa for his positions on everything except parades

A vote for Pete is a clearer way to send a message than abstaining
it's also funny

Does this connect at all with today's horny posting, or are you just sharing a potential fire hazard?

Sir Terry, as usual, said it best.

I think we're too quick to the insult "delete your account", but this person should delete their account, find a monastery, take a vow of silence, and never again communicate with another human.

I don't say this often, but Lionel Hutz should actually feel insulted by this comparison

Counterpoint: sometimes the market just doesn't go where you want. See: Alonso's free agency last season, when he had to go back to the Mets for one year.

Problem is that Schwarber is 32 coming off a solid season; a 1 year deal and hoping for better next time isn't going to cut it for him.
December 4, 2025 at 5:10 PM
I believe in Tong enough to not want to trade him, but if you can get a guy who's a solid SP now you have to pull the trigger.

Even I'm not delusional enough to think he's worth that much
