@[email protected] Ich denke, dass es für Menschen leichter ist, Nutzer:innen von LLM zu shamen, als die validen Kritikpunkte dort anzumelden, wo sie hingehören (Umgang der Konzerne mit Erderwärmung, Zugang zu Code). Beim Kelleraktivismus ist dann egal, ob LLM nicht vielleicht helfen, Klassismus und Hochschwelligkeit beim Programmieren oder auch Barrieren für Menschen mit Behinderungen abzubauen. Komisch ist auch, dass von diesen Kritiker:innen selbst selten inklusive Alternativen kommen.

Learned about higher numbers (20+) today, and folks, it was WILD. How do you pronounce those, how are they written? Let's consider this very real example, 97:

EN/SV: "90 + 7"

DE: "7 + 90"

JP: "9 * 10 + 7"

FR: "4 * 20 + 10 + 7"

It took a minute, but I completed my migration from #helpscout to #freescout. Reasons: €€, #digitalsovereignty.

freescout.net is open-source and nice out of the box. Custom modules cost me €68 (lifetime), hosting is ~€6/month (PikaPods + mailbox). Everything's hosted in the EU!

Brain starts to slowly reconfigure itself around the new language patterns, I think. Also, some sounds are becoming less complicated. And today our teacher told us about Danish life and society and whatnot, and I understood quite a bit. That was really cool!

My home state of #schleswigholstein keeps leading the (German) pack when it comes to switch the public administration over to #foss. I'm really impressed. While other states and cities (hi #munich) claim it can't be done, they just do it.

Met our 2nd teacher today. Both teachers are good, but they come from different parts of Danmark, which is ace because you get to hear different people talk. She teaches in rigsdansk (i.e., the "standardised" pronunciation) and all of a sudden stuff started to make more sense.

For me, the hardest thing about Danish isn't its syntax, terms, or grammar, it's relearning how letters are pronounced, *letters I've known for 50 years*. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Me: "I see a 'd', I see a 'g', I know how those should sound"
DK: "You really don't, fren"
Me: "Let me try this one … 'meget'?"
