What really gets me about FDR is that he introduced his Second Bill of Rights idea in 1944, and it's an idea so progressive that you almost couldn't run a campaign on it today because it's too far-reaching. It would be trying to accomplish too much. How far we have fallen.

But Seth, once you've made your Stealth check you're considered Hidden until you leave cover!

I haven't played ZeroRanger (I'm not a big shmup fan anymore... although I really loved Ikaruga and Raiden II) but I can absolutely sympathize with the mood of this post. There are so many games that do cool things that then kind of gate them behind time investments or whole replays.

Yes, but the real question is: How many times did you have to say "spatchcock" just because it's fun?

Food looks great, Caleb! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Oh, he's a rakshasa in this one!

The only thing Hotwheels fostered in me was the ability to make car sounds that my sister thought were really cool.

Ah, that must be the larger international PS1 controller.

Jeez, what kind of piss poor President can't even manufacture one of our own boats exploding as an excuse?

RPGs are like Who's Line is it Anyway? The rules are made up and the points don't matter.

The Great Smog of London in 1952 killed *thousands* of people over just 4 days.

I agree with this take wholeheartedly. The thing I love most about Metroid is the alien solitude. Phendrana, Sky Temple, and Elysia were whole moods that stuck with me.

I really hope the Fed Trooper interaction is limited, but something tells me there's going to be one in every zone.

Some people really struggle with, "Not everything on your feed is for you."
November 11, 2025 at 8:48 PM
Hm.

2025 - 1965 = 60

Goddammit it's still the Boomers.

I really do wonder what they think happens when a whole mess of people lose their jobs and have no food.

People really should pay attention in history class if they're going to get into politics.
November 9, 2025 at 10:57 PM
Well, maybe. I mean, who's going to know when it's wrong?
November 9, 2025 at 1:15 PM
Yeah, achievements often make it easy to see how popular the endgame really is. Okay, 95% of people complete the tutorial. 85% beat the first boss. 50% beat the game. 15% complete the postgame? Yeah that's going to be a tedious postgame.

> Pink Floyd are better than Led Zeppelin!

That's not rude. It's just bougie.

They've systematically dehumanized and demonized everyone who is different than they are so they no longer view others as deserving of human rights.

Pretty standard fascist playbook.

I get why the paint is there. Lighting in the room you're playing in can change color on screen.

At the same time, I wish you could toggle them off if you wanted to. Or use a button to highlight them.

I do prefer the paint to like... Skyrim floating "waypoint" markers.

No, that was Captain Antilles that was more like them. He didn't make it very far.

Sure, but most people talking about video games sound like they hate them, too.

People love to complain about the things they like. They spend so much time complaining about things in their hobbies because they like them!
