Personally, I've been able to stop cringing at it by analyzing my voice for what it does and what it can improve. Detaching yourself from it helps a lot when you want to improve it.
If you make a drawing and proportions are off, you cringe at the hiccups, not at the fact you made it.

I got interested in api connections and ended up finding 3rd party stuff with certain toys. That code could be repurposed for other applications but to quote an oldie, the internet is for p*rn

Lore is never "needed" but man do I get more into a design and vtuber when there's some real depth in the lore and it's got consistency. It always unclicks in my head when it all gets retconned
