Labor’s new AI plan puts faith in self-regulation
In a bid to support Australian innovation in the AI revolution, the Albanese government has stripped back layers of regulation, which critics say hands big tech too much power.

Air pollution from cars kills more people each year than the road toll.

Australia needs legislated clean air standards. The govt wouldn’t agree to include them in the environmental laws passed last week. I’ll keep trying - they’ll save lives.

New rules around NOx, the most deadly form of vehicle pollution, come into force today, as testing reveals which popular models are pumping out more than others.

can i say there's no real difference between the two majors now without a bunch of #auspol dipshits yelling at me?

it's extremely telling how - here and in the UK - when the more "right" of the two majors collapse, the "left" immediately mutates to take its place, almost like they share an agenda
Sadly, they cut a deal with the Libs to indeed rush this through

My daughter and I visited the house we lived in when she was a baby, and she was shocked a 29-year-old Navy guy could afford a nice house in a safe neighborhood.

That wasn’t crazy in 1996 — but today, a nice house is out of reach for so many young people. That has to change.

Did you know the definition of ‘housing stress’ is when 30% of your household income is taken up by your rent or mortgage?
