Yesterday I've managed to check out the opening day of a new railway line in Melbourne. Was weird to see a modern underground line with platform screen doors in my city!

And already, we have another (25km long) underground train line under construction which is scheduled to open in 2035.

My life became so much happier when I started driving less and walking/biking/using public transit more.
I’m not religious, but I’m developing a personal faith:
time spent driving is the root of a lot of modern suffering, and it’s a moral imperative not to induce more of it.

A little history - the minister in charge of the 1950s mass immigration of Commonwealth workers in order to rebuild post-war Britain, was …
Enoch Powell, a wannabe PM who reckoned he could win support by whipping-up racism. He unleashed a storm of lethal hatred and fear on the streets.
Nigel Farage uses his post-Budget press conference to say Enoch Powell was right.

Why are we not even surprised anymore?

I am a British emigrant, and I endorse this message.
I see Farage now hates emigration as well as immigration. The trouble is, he’s a big part of why people are emigrating. Brexit has made the U.K. a less attractive place for everyone.

Seems to me, such drugs are seen as the antidote to an evil greedy and soulless capitalist system.

A system that chews up and spits out human beings, without care for the discarded.

It’s all about power for the sake of power and keeping that power firmly inside a duopoly that imposes IDEOLOGY and not SOLUTIONS

Voters trapping themselves in a cycle of low expectations, mediocrity and the status quo because politicians insist

And voters have no alternative vision

These are diabolical pollution numbers that suggest we are on track for cataclysmic climate change.

48% is a country mile away from the 62% emissions reduction that Labor promised.

Two years ago we secured an empty homes tax across Victoria but Labor is too afraid to upset property investors to actually enforce the damn thing.

This is what you get when the major parties work for the property lobby, not the people.

The Greens have secured enviro laws with new protections for native forests & stopped Labor from fast-tracking coal & gas.

We’ve got outcomes that forest campaigners have fought for across decades.

We’ve made it harder for big corporations to keep wrecking our environment.
