i was taught what punk was by someone who was in the early punk scene in America and raised me on radical kindness. i own a 40 yo shirt with the front page of “The Sun” the day Sid died, that my dad put holes in when he got it in the late 70s/early 80s. i’ve seen so many sides of this… not the same.

for context - i’m 25 and have been part of the punk scene since i was 9. i watched what happened with Bush, i watched under Obama, and then under Trump & Biden. i’ve watched the rise & fall of punk in the 21st century. i have studied these subcultures, and been on the right side. we’re not the same.
